NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT TO BE DISCUSSED BY SEVERAL FORMER PRESIDENTS IN BAKU

A discussion of the conflicts in the South Caucasus will be held in
Baku on September 4-6 during a high level meeting organised by the
Nizami Ganjavi International Centre and Madrid Club with the support
of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, according to a message
from the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, published on Tuesday.
According to the message, the former President of Latvia Vaira Vike
Freiberga, former President of Finland Tarja Halonen and former
President of Sri Lanka Chandrika K.Bandaranaike will speak during
the discussions.
The former presidents of Latvia and Finland repeatedly stressed the
importance of a quick solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and
also criticised the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group.
These discussions organised with the support of the State Committee
for Work with Diaspora are initiatives being implemented for the
first time during the entire period of the conflict.
