RESIDENTS OF YEREVAN BUILDING PROTEST AGAINST POLICE ABUSE - VIDEO

A number of residents have organized a protest against police abuse
in front of the Police Department of Armenia.
The residents consider police behavior in dealing with them in the
last few days unacceptable.
The residents demand that the policemen using violence against
activists be held responsible.
Among the participants are Andrias Ghukasyan, Head of the Helsinki
Citizens' Assembly Vanadzor office Artur Sakunts and activist Argishti
Kiviryan.
The protesters intend to march toward the Prosecutor General's Office
of Armenia to hand their letter of complaint to Prosecutor General
Aghvan Hovsepyan.
Armenia's first Ombudsman Larisa Alaverdyan called policemen's behavior
"perversion."
