NEWSPAPER: ARMENIAN AUTHORITIES WANT TO DECLARE AN AMNESTY?

YEREVAN. - The rumors have it that Armenian authorities are preparing
to announce an amnesty in connection with the anniversary of Armenia's
independence, which will be celebrated on September 21, Zhamanak
newspaper writes.
Additional information, including for which articles of the Criminal
Code the amnesty will be declared, is unavailable. In order to clarify
reports, the newspaper addressed spokesperson for Armenian president
Arman Saghatelyan.
"Public and the media are informed about similar decisions in due
time. At present, I have no information," he said.
Last time Armenian authorities declared amnesty back in 2011.
