Deadly blast at Russia train station: 18 killed, dozens injured (updated)

An explosion at a train station Volgograd, Russia, killed at least 18
people on Sunday, Russian media reported.
The RIA Novosti news agency said dozens were injured, citing police.
It is the second bombing in the southern Russian city in two months
and comes less than six weeks ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi,
which is located less than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) from
Volgograd.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
A suspected female suicide bomber killed at least six people when she
attacked a bus in the city in October.
An Islamist insurgency in the North Caucasus region has led to many
attacks there in recent years. Insurgents have also attacked big
Russian towns.
Volgograd lies about 900km (560 miles) south of Moscow and 650km north
of the North Caucasus.
