UNCLE: ZATIKYAN WAS POISONED

Andranik Zatikyan was killed through poisoning. This is the opinion of
some of the Zatikyan~Rs relatives.
As it was informed earlier, on January 13, 2013 around 7.00 the dead
body of the 31 year old Andranik Zatikyan, theson of Vahan Zatikyan,
the former Malaitia community head, was found on Metsarenc Street,
Yerevan. The external examination of the body didn~Rt find any traces
of violence. The possible cause of death is considered the overdosing,
but the relatives exclude that version, they also exclude the version
of suicide. According to some of the relatives Andranik Zatikyan died
of poisoning.
We talked with the uncle of Vahan Zatikyan, Mels Harutyunyan, about
this issue. Here is what he said:
-That couldn~Rt be a suicide ~V assured M. Harutyuyan,- as much as I~Rm
informed the police doesn~Rt have any official version about the
incident. The materials are sent to medical and chemical examination,
and the results will be clear in a month. It should find out which
materials were in the body and what kind of poison it was. That
everything will be clear after the examination. We didn~Rt file a
criminal case as no trace of violence was found on the body.
As he said after the death of Vahan Zatikyan and the assassination of
his son, Sedrak Zatikyan, he visited their house almost every day,
only in the last year did he attend them more rarely but he was well
informed about the courageous character of Andranik Zatikyan and that
he was a formulated individual.
-Many people though that he could do various things after his
brother~Rs death but he behaved himself very masculine and displayed
willpower- said the uncle of V. Zatikyan,- we asked him not to
perforce any acts of revenge and he never did. He was able to behave
himself. A person that commits a suicide would take a revenge of his
brother~Rs death, but he didn~Rt do that. I didn~Rt notice any changes in
his behavior prior to the incident.
What is about the use of drugs, Mels Hovhannisyan said that nothing of
that kind happened. He was in Germany one month before the incident, -
he added, - took his mother to doctor and there upon the request of
his mother, himself had a full medical checkup. The results of the
examination that are with me, no evidence of abuse of drugs in
noticed. One day before the incident he went to Tsaghkadzor and after
return played with his kids.
According to him, many murders are committed with the use of poison
and he thinks that Andranik Zatikyan was poisoned.
It is obvious that the rests will be clear after the examinations.
