ARMENIAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE PLEDGES CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

YEREVAN.- If elected, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian will
cut budget expenditures on head of administrations and will eliminate
the shadow business.
Head of Heritage Party on Wednesday held a meeting with voters in
Armavir Region as a part of his campaign events.
Hovannisian said he would increase pensions and salaries by 50
percent. In five years 180 thousand jobs will be created. He also
pledged to investigate corruption cases and punish the guilty.
"Amendments to the Constitution will lead to parliamentary system of
government. The Prosecutor's Office will be authorized to institute
proceedings against president and his surrounding," he told reporters.
