ARTSRUN HOVHANNISYAN REFERRED TO TURKISH-TARTARIAN THREATS ON STRIKING CIVIL AIRPLANES

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARMENPRESS: Spokesman of Armenian Ministry
of Defence Artsrun Hovhannisyan has once again reaffirmed that
Armenian armed forces are able to ensure security of Stepanakert
airport flights. "President declares that Stepanakert airport will be
exploited, and defence minister has noted that we are able to ensure
security of flights," reminded spokesman of Armenian Ministry of
Defence, considering it to be odd that without any reasonable argument
some people hadn't taken into account above mentioned statements and
kept retyping threats of Turkish-Tartarian bashibozuks.
As reports Armenpress, in his Facebook page Artsrun Hovhannisyan
has referred to the "seriousness" of Azerbaijani threats to strike
civil airplanes. "Who told that Azerbaijan was joking? It wasn't,
as it didn't in 1992, 1993, and 1994 when their forces were escaping
from Shushi," Hovhannisyan noted.
Armenian Defence spokesman added that back in 1992 the same airport
was liberated and restored its flights, while at that time Azerbaijan
had Õ~M-200 systems on 250 km distance. "So why it didn't manage to
strike any airplane?" Hovhannisyan noted with irony.
