BAKO SAHAKYAN VISITED ASKERAN TOWN

On 1 February Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the
town of Askeran, where he held a working consultation dedicated to
the agricultural development in the region.
In his speech the President noted that Askeran region possesses all
the necessary conditions for the development of the sphere. Central
Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President
informs about this.
The unique geographical position of the region located in the central
part of the republic, at the crossroads of the main highways and
close to capital Stepanakert, the availability of water resources and
a ramified road network create powerful stimuli for the development
of agriculture.
According to Bako Sahakyan optimal usage of all these prerequisites
requires hard work on the part of economic entities as well as on
regional and national levels.
Touching upon the proposed new projects in the, Sahakyan underlined
that their main objective is to further motivate economic entities,
create favorable conditions for expanding their work making it more
productive.
National Assembly speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Ara
Haroutunyan, heads of regional administrative divisions and
communities, other officials partook at the consultation.
