SYRIAN-ARMENIAN CARDIOLOGISTS FEEL CALM IN ARMENIA

    09:52, 1 February, 2013

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 1, ARMENPRESS. Syrian-Armenian cardiologists Poghos
Sargsian and Jadik Balabanyan had been working together in Aleppo and
now their cooperation continues in Armenia. They are both working in
the Clinical Hospital N3 in Yerevan. The doctors moved to Yerevan with
their families because of the political war in Syria and it has
already been five months since they came to Armenia. In a conversation
with "Armenpress" Dr. Balabanyan stated that he had made a decision to
move to Armenia long ago, notwithstanding it was rather difficult to
make such a decision immediately, and the recent events only helped
him to realize his idea. Also Balabanyan stated: "Armenia is not a
foreign place for me. I have paid a working visit to Armenia before,
but everything turned out to be even better than we had expected. We
    were welcomed here."

In case of Dr. Sargsian the situation was quite different, as he has
been living in Armenia for several years. Among other things Dr.

Sargsian stated: "I used to live and study in Armenia in 1990s. I have
graduated from the Yerevan State Medical University and moved to
Aleppo in 1999. During that period the conditions were rather
    difficult."

Notwithstanding the both doctors certified that in spite of the fact
that conditions were better in Syria, Armenia remains their homeland
and they fill calm in here. They also underscored that they were never
treated as strangers in Syria, as the Armenians always have been in
the centre of attention of the Syrian authorities.
