ENVOY SEES ISRAEL AS ROOT CAUSE OF ALL PROBLEMS IN REGION

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian diplomat blamed the Zionist regime of
Israel for the existing problems in the region.
Speaking at a meeting with Lebanese Druze Spiritual Leader Sheikh
Naim Hassan on Friday, Tehran's Envoy to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi
said that the Zionist regime is the root cause of all problems in the
region and the recent air raids of the Zionist regime to a research
center around Damascus prove the claim.
The Syrian Army said in a statement on Wednesday that two people
were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a
scientific center in Jamraya, 25 kilometers (15 miles) Northwest of
the capital Damascus.
Roknabadi further said that Iran underlines stronger unity between
Muslims and Christians in dealing with the Zionist usurpers.
He also briefed the Druze spiritual leader of Iran's efforts in
putting an end to Syrian crisis and said
During the meeting, Sheikh Maim Hassan lauded the efforts made by
the Islamic Republic of Iran in resolving political crisis in Syria.
On Syrian developments, he said they want the issue be resolved
through political means and all call for restoration of tranquility
and stability to the country as soon as possible.
Regarding significant role of Iran and its outstanding stands in
regional developments, he said Iran plays leading role in resolving
the issue through political means.
