The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Turkey to pay nine
newspapers and magazines a total of 13,500 Euros for suspending their
publication and distribution from 2008-2009.
The Court found Turkey guilty of violating Article 10 (Freedom of
expression) of the European Declaration of Human Rights.
The publications involved are Bağımsız Demokrasi Sosyalizm İcin
Yuruyuş, Ezilenlerin Sosyalist Alternatifi Atılım, Ozgur Mezopotamya,
Gunluk, Siyasi Alternatif, Ozgur Goruş, Surec, Rojev and Demokratik
Acılım.
