    YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, ARMENPRESS: Members of Armenia-Bahrain friendship
    group of Armenian NA on February 2 had meeting with delegation of
    Bahrain-Armenia friendship group of Parliament of Kingdom of Bahrain.
    As Armenpress was informed from public relations and media department
    of Armenia NA, greeting the visit of delegation to Armenia, Head of
    Armenia-Bahrain friendship group Galust Sahakyan stressed the
    importance of further development of interstate relations, as well as
    deepening of relations between two countries and nations. Sahakyan
    hoped the visit of delegation to Armenia would give a new impetus to
    efficient cooperation.

    Sides presented activity of parliaments, current internal political
    and economic situation and highlighted importance of implementation of
    joint programs.

    Galust Sahakyan also referred to current presidential elections in
    Armenia and noted that political forces and authorities were willing
    to hold free fair and transparent presidential elections.

    Presenting settlement process of NKR conflict, head of friendship
    group has noted that Armenian side supports peaceful settlement of it;
    therefore Azerbaijani bellicose position and policy which grants
    pardon to safarovs are undermining it.

    As one of the main regional issue Galust Sahakyan highlighted the
    issue of recognition of Armenian Genocide by Turkey which would
    visibly decline the tension.

    Expressing gratitude for warm reception head of Bahrain-Armenia
    friendship group of Parliament Kingdom of Bahrain noted the willing of
    their side to deepen and develop bilateral relations.

    Other issues of bilateral interest were discussed during the meeting.
