TRAIAN HRISTEA INTERESTED IN PARUYR HAYRIKYAN'S CASE

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir
Gasparyan on February 4 hosted head of EU delegation to Armenia,
Ambassador Traian Hristea and people accompanying him.
Armenpress reports, greeting the guests, Vladimir Gasparyan highly
evaluated long-lasting cooperation with European Union, especially its
support and assistance to the improvement process of police.
Chief of Police referred to the process of presidential pre-election
campaign and noted that all the measures had been taken in order to
investigate the case. National Security Service is implementing the
investigation and joint operative investigation group has been
created. Vladimir Gasparyan reminded Police statement made yet on
January 17 by which it was taking the responsibility of ensuring
security of elections and holding them up to par. Remaining faithful
to the statement police has taken all the possible measures to
investigate the case.
Traian Hristea expressed his gladness over Police initiations and
expressed willingness about further cooperation and support. Vladimir
Gasparyan reaffirmed Police commitment to ensure security of
presidential candidates and assured they would spare no effort for
holding presidential elections in accordance with all international
standards.
Interlocutors have also discussed other issue of bilateral interest.
