SUCCESSFUL START OF ARMENIAN GRANDMASTERS IN MOSCOW OPEN

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Chess grandmasters
started successfully in the Moscow International Chess Championship.
The Chess Federation of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress"
that Armenian Chess Grandmaster Hovhannes Gabuzyan and IM Hovik
Hayrapetyan have scored 2 points each after 2 rounds at the tournament
A of Moscow Open. They top the ranking list of the tournament together
with a group of other participants.
Moscow Open Tournament launched on February 2 and will be over on
February 10. There are eight sub-groups in the tournament.
Training courses for coaches, referees and organizers are being held
during the Festival under the auspices of the Russian Chess Federation
and FIDE.
The total prize fund of the Festival is 3.5 million rubles
(approximately 110 000 USD).
