YEREVAN.- Armenian government welcomes Carrefour Group's entering
Armenian market, Premier Tigran Sargsyan told reporters in parliament
on Wednesday.
However, the deal is hampered by a memorandum signed with one of
Armenia's private companies. The companies have controversy on
the memo.
"They must work to find an acceptable solution," he said. Premier
also assured Carrefour has not demanded preferences.
Most likely, Carrefour has problems with Tashir Group. The chain
supposedly had to open a supermarket in Dalma Garden Mall belonging
to Tashir.
