Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan says he doesn't know for sure
whether he will remain in office after the upcoming presidential polld.
Speaking to reporters at a Wednesday briefing, the premier explained
that the issue is not a top priority at the moment. "I propose
summoning up patience. I think you can wait for a couple of months,
after being patient for five years, " he said.
Sargsyan noted that the government's task now is to ensure equal
conditions for all the presidential runners to enable them to introduce
their platforms to the society.
Asked whether the ruling Republican Party will ask other major
political forces - Prosperous Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary
Federation-Dashnaksutyun - to sign a coalition government deal,
the premier said only that he has always supported collaboration.
"Such were the grounds for creating a coalition. Our partners made
a decision, but some withdrew. If our partners decide that they want
a return, the issue will be naturally discussed. But there's no such
decision for now," he answered.
