GRAND HOLDING" TO CULTIVATE WHEAT ALONG WITH TOBACCO

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 7, ARMENPRESS: "Grand Holding" will cultivate wheat
along with tobacco. This was noted by Director of "Grand Holding"
Hrant Vardanyan during press conference held on February 6.
"Starting from this year "Grand Holding" is launching the cultivation
of wheat in Tavush and Artsakh which is the most efficient and already
tested rotational crop for tobacco. This will give an opportunity to
cultivate wheat of higher quality, increasing international standards,
in 3 years," Armenpress quoted Vardanyan as saying.
Hrant Vardanyan informed that during 2012 "Grand Holding" stored about
21,200 tons of tobacco raw materials. Number of people working for
"Grand Holding" in rural communities has also increased. Company's
products are exported to 12 countries of the world. Number of holding's
workers exceeds 6300 with average salary of AMD 170 000.
Referring to his high position among biggest taxpayers Vardanyan noted
that the company has paid about AMD 18,5 bn taxes, getting 4th place.
