    ARMENIA WILL INTRODUCE MATERNITY CAPITAL - PRESIDENT

    A healthy family is the foundation of a healthy society, said
    Armenian presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan
    at the meeting with voters of administrative district of Zeytun in
    Yerevan city.

    According to him, the reforms of the health sector are one of the
    most important ones. Particular emphasis will be placed on healthy
    lifestyles and disease prevention.

    "Armenia should become a country where mother and child will be under
    the protection of the state and society. In this context, the idea
    of maternity capital is to be implemented, lump amount should have
    an encouraging nature for the third, and fourth child, and in the
    case of 5 or more children - help to promote the improvement of a
    large family. Overall, the country is moving to the introduction of
    the institute of medical insurance for all," the president said.

    In this regard, he recalled that since last year, medical insurance
    has already been introduced for some categories of people.

    "The process of reforms and equipment of regional medical centers will
    continue," the president said and noted that some work has already
    been done, and Yerevan medical centers have already been unloaded.

    In the future, cardiac surgery will be available to everybody in
    Armenia. Hematology Center has been built and Oncology Center will
    be built.

    "Armenia will become the regional center of health. The Government
    should promote the establishment of pharmaceutical companies,
    and within 3-4 months a package for socially vulnerable groups of
    society will be introduced, which will help them purchase medicine
    30-40 percent cheaper," he said.
