Yerevan. "It is regrettable that Azerbaijan continues violating the
ceasefire regime, while the international community continues to
keep silent and turn a blind eye to such incidents," the member of
Amrnian NGO Yerkarapah Volunteer Union, MP Karen Saribekian said,
when asked by Aysor.am to comment on the current tension on the
Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
In his words, Azerbaijan is continuing its adventurist policy, as a
result of which innocent blood is being shed.
When asked how frequent shots fired in the direction of Armenian
villages can be prevented, the deputy said: "The issue of creating
border incident investigation mechanisms has been repeatedly raised,
but Azerbaijan rejected it. Such incidents clearly show the reasons
why Azerbaijan rejected this proposal. It does everything possible
to cause tension. Secondly, there are several options to silence
Azerbaijani gun-platforms, but they had better not cause us to take
extreme measures".
