EXPERT: GEORGIAN ARMENIANS SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM POLITICAL PROCESSES
February 13, 2013 - 15:51 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - The clashes between the opposition and the ruling
authorities have brought about tensions in Georgia, an expert on
Georgian affairs said.
Dwelling on the political situation in Georgia, Johnny Melikyan said
Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's decision to release political
prisoners detained during Mikheil Saakashvili's term in office
escalated tensions in the country.
The expert further voiced skepticism over the "Georgian dream" to
force Saakashvili to give up power, deeming it hard to make forecasts.
Mr Melikyan stressed the need for Georgia's Armenian community not
to get involved in the political processes.
