Oppositionist: Coordinator of Armenian National Congress seems to have
certain expectations from Robert Kocharyan

Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan
seems to have certain expectations from Robert Kocharyan, the leader
of Democratic Fatherland Party Petros Makeyan told journalists on
Thursday.
Makeyan believes that in fact there is no more ANC. "Levon Ter-
Petrosyan's initiative to start cooperation with Prosperous Armenia, a
force that is partly responsible for the March 2008 massacres in
Yerevan, was the beginning of the end, while Zurabyan's compliments to
Kocharyan were the last point," Makeyan said.
To remind, in an interview to Azatutyun Zurabyan said that Robert
Kocharyan was a more successful president than Serzh Sargsyan is.
"The collapse of the ANC has resulted in almost no rivalry during the
current presidential race. For many years the ANC was the only
opposition force, a counterpoise to the ruling regime, and now that it
is collapsing there is no alternative to it," Makeyan said.
