OSCE OBSERVERS CRITICIZE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN ARMENIA

OSCE Observation Mission believes that the principle of competitiveness
has not been fully ensured in the presidential elections in Armenia,
RIA Novosti reported with reference to Agence France-Presse.
According to the results of the presidential elections held in
Armenia on Monday, Serzh Sargsyan reelected as the president scoring
58.64 percent of the votes, First Foreign Minister of Armenia Raffi
Hovannisian ranked second scoring 36.75 percent of votes, Former
Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan ranked third scoring 2.15 percent.
The elections were observed by almost 7,000 representatives from
26 local social organizations and 12 international organizations,
including OSCE ODIHR, CIS mission, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the
Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe, the CIS Interparliamentary
Assembly, International Expert Center for Electoral Systems (ICES)
and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
