SARGSYAN WINS 2ND TERM AS ARMENIAN LEADER

YEREVAN, Armenia, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Serzh Sargsyan won a second term
as Armenia's president, taking 58 percent of the vote, the country's
Central Election Commission said Tuesday.
Official results from all polling stations indicated Sargsyan
received 861,167 votes (58.64 percent) with former Foreign Minister
Raffi Hovhannisyan, with 539,672 votes (36.75 percent), RIA Novosti
reported. There were five other candidates on the ballot.
Voter turnout was slightly more than 60 percent with about 1.5 million
people casting ballots, RIA Novosti said.
The election gave Sargsyan, 58, a second five-year term.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which
monitored the election, hasn't commented on alleged violations reported
during the campaign or at polling stations.
