WILL HHK GIVE MAYOR'S POST TO RAFFI HOVANNISIAN?

I am not a chemist, but if something is to vaporize, it will even
with the slightest intervention, MP from the ruling Republican Party
of Armenia (HHK) Gagik Minasyan said at the meeting with reporters.
He added that the ink stamp disappeared in is wife's passport five
hours later though it was supposed to remain visible for at least
12 hours.
"Everything happens but I see no sense in linking this with election
fraud," said the HHK lawmaker.
Mr Minasyan says progress was recorded in the February 18 election,
with international observers being almost unanimous about the election
outcome. They all said that the election was fair and transparent.
Despite the widely-accepted opinion that the election lacked
competition, the Republican MP says the February 18 poll was highly
competitive.
"Raffi Hovannisian even enjoyed victory in one of the provinces. The
37% of votes he secured in the vote is weighty political capital that
can enable him to celebrate serious victories in the political field,"
he said.
Gagik Minasyan also said that the 43% of votes Raffi Hovannisian
polled in Yerevan can help Hovannisian maintain achievements in the
upcoming municipal elections.
The HHK representative says the post-electoral developments may develop
in two scenarios. In the first one, the winner president must bring
to the end the already started reforms and justify his pre-electoral
promises. In the second one, the processes will go in undesirable way -
be it a self-declaration as a winner president.
Mr Minasyan believes that Raffi Hovannisian is a discreet person and
will choose the first option.
