After leaving his meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, Raffi Hovannisian
told the crowd waiting outside the Presidential Palace to go about
their business.
Many didn't listen and instead gathered at Freedom Square. Hovannisian
also made his way to the crowd and made a brief statement.
"You already know that the power is in your hands and ours," declared
Hovannisian, to which the throng replied, "Yes".
But Hovannisian didn't go into detail regarding what he and Sargsyan
discussed earleier, promising to do so tomorrow.
"We have always supported open, not closed, but open conversations. I
telephoned the press secretary of Mr. Sargsyan and told him to correct
the mistake. From the start, we have backed an open, transparent,
public debate," noted Hovannisian.
The presidential contender added that not only will he address
tomorrow's rally but other citizens of Armenia as well, people who
have stood by his side but who have remained absent.
"And they will face you and give an answer. For once in our lifetime,
the Armenian people on this side of Avarayr, Sardarapat, Bash-Aparan
and Gharakilise will celebrate a true victory," Hovannisian said.
