Minister of Defense and Armed Forces high ranking officials paid a
tribute to Day of Motherland Defender

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, ARMENPRESS: Armenia's Defense Minister Seyran
Ohanyan, head of Armenia's Armed Forces General Staff,Colonel-General
Yuri Khachaturov,Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in
Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko, Armenian and Russian high-ranking
officers and soldiers, diplomatic mission representatives paid a visit
to ''Haghtanak''park regarding Day of Motherland Defender marked on
February 23.
As Information and Public Relations department told Armenpress, the
participants laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial of the Unknown
Soldier, paying tribute to the memory of those who put their lives on
the line to protect the Motherland from invaders. The event ended with
a solemn march of American and Russian soldiers.
Russia celebrartes the ''Day of Motherland Defender'' on February 23.
Armenian Republic in accordance to established tradition is set to
host a range of events dedicated to Day of Motherland Defender.
