Alarm: The witness is under tension to name the perpetrators

The sister of the attorney Samvel Sharbatyan killed in Mush restaurant
on November 18, 2012 called the relatives of the lawyer and informed
that tension is being used against the eye-witness.
`Pastinfo.am' wrote about the pressure used against the witness on
February 18, but today the Vanadzor Office of Helsinki Civil Assembly
published the letter of the attorney's sister in which the former
mentioned `On 18.11.2012 at 22.00 in Mush restaurant as a result of
violence beating of the brothers Aren and Artak Veranyan and Samvel
Diloyan my brother, the member of the Chamber of Advocates Samvel
sharbatyan was killed. The law enforcements agencies arrested the
perpetrator, but the life of the relations deteriorated from that. The
reason is that the only witness (event though there were many witness
but the Police says that they keep silent) Hayk, the son of my sister,
which serves in Army, is forced not to name the perpetrators, so that
they aren't tried, because they are pity'.
`Wasn't my brother pity when 3 criminals were brutally beating him on
head and cursing, and Hayk who was trying to save his uncle received
beats, even had a loss of consciousness, and the so called
brother-friend Khlghatyan and several other people who were there
pretended they didn't hear anything, didn't see and continued to
party, without intervening in the quarrel'- said the sister of the
deceased and added `I would like to notice that other 3-4 unknown
people were there, who are from the team of the criminals and now are
persecuted by Police and present a great fear for us - the victims,
especially to Hayk, who is far away from us and is always under
threat.
`We applied to multiple different law enforcement agencies, we are
informed that there are threats that we fear, but there is no clear
answer, they assure us that the perpetrators are arrested but the
other 4 that impact on the recruit soldier, who must think about this?
Should we wait for the next crime? Who should think that there is a
reason that Hayk doesn't want to give the names of the perpetrators or
why other witnesses aren't forces to talk? Why don't they take into
account the stressful condition of the boy? He voluntarily went to
Army to be away from the criminals and now they humiliate him in front
of the whole army, and the person who humiliates is an uninformed and
impolite journalist Arpine Torosyan, who mixed the personal with
business, and implants the order of the criminal, calls to the unit
and forces Hayk to answer her pointless questions, and being
unsatisfied with this, calls the command against Hayk, so that Hayk
replies and Adrine publishes the article trying to cause confusion
between the victims and the law enforcement agencies. Don't we have
educated journalists? Was Diloyan's friend the last hope? Who should
give answers and solution to this problem? There isn't any
high-ranking official whom we didn't apply. What should we do? How
long should we fear? And why should we live with fear? Already seeing
the damaged head of the relative we got scared, in our secure country
such crimes and threats?
They assure us that they are under strict regime. And how does that
happen that a 10-day arrestee appears on television with a gym in his
mouth and contemptuous laughter face. Does this mean a simple
journalist Adrine is more powerful than Prosecution?
I ask for your assistance to make a right decision and leave calmly
with our tragedy. And that there is a single possibility that
perpetrators of the crime not be free in the public and boasting that
nobody can tell them anything, they have a support. I would like to
add, did any of the law enforcement agents ever thought about the
Hayk's psychological condition, instead of supporting him they force
him to name the perpetrators so that they pass them to trial. How do
they consider our state secure? - is said in the letter of the
advocate's sister.
