February 27, 2013 - 19:02 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey unilaterally supports Azerbaijan, Armenian
Foreign Minister said.
"Turkey can't assume the role of a mediator in Nagorno Karabakh
conflict settlement. It should not get involved in the process if it
seeks to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the conflict," Edward
Nalbandiansaid in interview with Austrian Press Agency, commenting on
Turkey's role in the region and its biased position on Karabakh issue.
Minister Nalbandian further noted Azerbaijan's destructive policy
behind failure to achieve conflict resolution.
"Baku deems use of force a possible option, however, war is no solution
to the problem. There is no alternative to the negotiation process,"
he said.
As Minister Nalbandian said, Turkey refused to ratify and implement
the protocols signed in Zurich.
"Turkey denies pacta sund servanta principle of international
relations. Armenia's position is in line with that of the international
community. Ankara must show respect for the agreements reached,
ratifying and implementing the protocols without preconditions,"
Minister Nalbandian said.
