NEW DETAILS EMERGE IN GARNI VILLAGE MURDER CASE

Around 2:20 am February 24, the police unit of Kotayk province received
a phone call from a regional hospital that Artush Gevorgian, 28,
who was admitted to the hospital after suffering injuries, had died
in hospital without regaining consciousness.
According to information of Aysor.am, the murder was committed because
of a debt that Artush Gevorgian owed to Arman S. Artush Gevorgian
bought a cell phone from Arman S., but paid only part of the sum. Last
Sunday Arman's father came home after a wedding party. The man was
drunk. He together with his son Arman went to Artush Gevorgian's home,
took him to a field outside Garni village and beat him up. Arman S.
stabbed Artush Gevorgian in the leg, cutting a vein, as a result of
which the young man lost a lot of blood.
Rumors are circulating in the village that the debt was 20,000 AMD.
Arman S. and Artush Gevorgian are relatives.
