HOVIK ABRAHAMIAN CHANGES HIS MIND: HE WILL NOT BECOME PRIME MINISTER

"During the time I have held various offices, I have never intended
to become the country's president," National Assembly Speaker Hovik
Abrahamian assured reporters today.
In response to the remark that at one time he wanted to become prime
minister, Abrahamian replied that at one time he wanted to be prime
minister, but now he has changed his mind.
"The post of the National Assembly speaker is higher than that of
prime minister," he said.
