LEVON JULFALAKYAN CONFIDENT THAT WRESTLING WILL REMAIN IN OLYMPIC PROGRAM

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 27, ARMENPRESS. The Head Coach of the Armenian
National Wrestling Team Levon Julfalakyan excludes the possibility of
leaving wrestling out of the Olympic program. As reports "Armenpress"
during the press conference Levon Julfalakyan underscored that
the decision of the working committee of the International Olympic
Committee (IOC) caused a lot of noise in the world.
Among other things Levon Julfalakyan noted: "That was solely the
decision of the IOC working committee. Jacques Rogge personally
announced that wrestling will not be excluded from the Olympic program
merely because of the working committee's decision. The matter is
that the International Wrestling Federation conducted a very negative
activity during recent ten years."
The Head Coach of the Armenian National Wrestling Team Levon
Julfalakyan stated that he is hopeful that there will be palpable
changes after the "FILA" session, which is scheduled to be held
in April.
