DRAFT RESOLUTION ON NAGORNO KARABAKH INCLUDED INTO SERBIAN PARLIAMENT'S AGENDA

Baku. Shamil Alibeyli - APA. Chairman of Serbian Parliament's Committee
on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, head of Serbia-Azerbaijan
parliamentary friendship group Vladimir Cvijan offered to the agenda
of the parliament the "Draft resolution on honoring the international
law and peaceful resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict".
Azerbaijani Embassy in Serbia told APA that the draft resolution
has been included in the agenda of the parliament. The resolution
says that 20% of Azerbaijani territories were occupied, about 30,000
Azerbaijanis were killed, about 50,000 people were injured, about
1 million people became refugees and internally displaced persons,
Nagorno Karabakh and 7 adjacent regions were occupied as a result
of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The document also covered Khojaly
genocide committed on the night of February 25 to 26.
The document says: "Taking into account the above-mentioned facts,
the National parliament supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,
inviolability of its borders and sovereignty, condemns all acts
of violence against civilians, including Khojaly events and urges
to implement the UN Security Council's four resolutions, launch
negotiation process to find a peaceful solution to the conflict and
ensure the return of refugees to their native lands."
