The Dickranian Lions Win First Home Game
New Coach Hired at TCA Arshag Dickranian School
Los Angeles, December 30, 2012 - Under the training of the school's
new coach, Mr. Zorik Isajane, who was hired in October as TCA Arshag
Dickranian School's new Athletic Director, coach and PE teacher, the
school's reformed basketball team `The Dickranian Lions' won their
first home game, which took place on December 18 at the Salvation Army
basketball sports ground located in Hollywood.
The game started at 3:30 p.m. as the Dickranian Lions and Westview
Basketball team engaged in an extremely competitive match against one
another, creating apprehension among attendants to guess who would win
the game. The Dickranian Lions won with a score of 69 against 63
proving to possess the skills necessary to compete against strong
basketball teams and win those games.
`We are very excited to have Coach Zorik Isajane to train our
students,' said Principal Dr. Maral Yeranossian. `He is very skilled
and has an interest in developing strong teams for our school. This
year we have added basketball teams for girls as well as teams for
younger students. We are looking forward to participating in
basketball, soccer and tennis matches.'
Coach Zorik Isajane has over 15 years of experience in the area of
athletics; he has been a member of the national basketball team in
Iran three times and a member of Asia Championship Club. He has played
for Pan Armenian Games and has participated in many international
tournaments, acquiring a wide range of skills and experience in
basketball. Coach Zorik Isajane is also assistant coach at Glendale
College. Besides coaching and training ADS students in basketball, he
also trains them in soccer, tennis and track and field.
