YEREVAN. - Lack of progress in the Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] peace
process is likely to be considered as a regress, as a whole, however,
passed year registered no regress in fact, the head of Armenian Cause
and ARF Dashankstuyun member Giro Manoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, the responsibility for the lack of progress in the
peace process lies on Azerbaijan, which granted amnesty to an
extradited murderer of an Armenian lieutenant. On the other hand,
Armenia needs to run work targeted at the international recognition of
Artsakh in various levels and to make sure that Azerbaijan realizes
the unreality of a positive outcome of the negotiation process for it.
As for perspectives of the Karabakh peace process this year, no need
to expect for fundamental changes due to presidential elections in
Armenia and Azerbaijan.
