Armenia develops new wind farm

YEREVAN. - CJSC `Department of Hydromechanics and Vibro-techniques' at
the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (in Armenia's Gyumri city)
has developed a new wind farm.
Hybrid power with a capacity of 20 kW is designed to work with the
wind velocity of 3 to 18 m/s. The center has run works on setting up
and installing the generator.
Currently, a patent application for the invention is in the Agency for
the Protection of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Economy of
Armenia, head of the department Gurgen Avetisyan told Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
`Once patenting the model, we hope to use it for generating
electricity,' he stated.
