BIDZINA IVANISHVILI HIGHLY EVALUATES THE POTENTIAL OF ARMENIAN COMMUNITY

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS: Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina
Ivanishvili visited Holy Etchmiadzin Church in Avlabari on January 6,
participated in the liturgy and congratulated all Armenians on the
occasion of Christmas. Afterwards he had an official meeting with
Georgian Armenians. Armenpress was informed from Arnold Stepanyan
leader of "Multinational Georgia" public movement.
"There was a festive and beautiful atmosphere during the meeting with
Bidzina Ivanishvili. Event consisted of two parts full of number of
questions concerning Armenian churches' issues," Stepanyan said.
"Ivanishvili urged not to be afraid of speaking about this issue and
form a firm position over it," Stepanyan underlined.
According to him the position of Georgian church is of crucial
importance in the issue of Armenian churches.
"Ivanishvili has also mentioned that Armenian community in Georgia has
a very important role in Georgia and that its political team is going
to use the potential of Georgian Armenians," Arnold Stepanyan said.
"Georgian dream" party led by Bidzina Ivanishvili successfully
challenged the ruling United National Movement in the Georgian
parliamentary election, 2012.
