YEREVAN, JANUARY 11, ARMENPRESS. "Help Your Brother" Civil Initiative
will continue supporting the Syrian people in 2013 too. The Chairperson
of All-National Foundation Lilit Galstyan stated this in a conversation
with "Armenpress". Lilit Galstyan stated: "The bank account of
"Help Your Brother" Civil Initiative keeps receiving new and big
money transfers. From now on we shall focus on sending Syria money,
as transfers via aircraft cause a lot of troubles.
Notwithstanding the Syrian Airlines, did not perform any flights last
week." In addition Lilit Galstyan stated that there are medicines of
about 200 kilos, which must be sent to Syria.
Among other things Lilit Galstyan noted that there are certain entities
from Europe and the United States, who are willing to send medicines
to Syria. The Chairperson of All-National Foundation underscored:
"We shall continue our activity this year too."
"Help Your Brother" Civil Initiative launched on September 18. Clashes
in Syria had evidently tragic consequences for both the Syrian people
and our compatriots as well. The war caused a lot of casualties to
the local population and it still has a devastating impact for the
Armenian community in Syria, which is one of the most vivid communities
of the Armenian Diaspora.
