YEREVAN.- Armenia's air defense will ensure security of civilian
flights from Yerevan to Stepanakert, Armenian Defense Minister said.
Asked about Baku's threats to down the civilian planes, Minister
Seyran Ohanyan said Armenian air defense forces will not tolerate it.
Ohanyan told reporters there is still a threat of hostilities, but
the analysis of the current situation shows there is little likelihood
of a new war.
Prospects for reopening of Stepanakert airport provoke hysteria
in Azerbaijan. Baku constantly voices threats to down the planes
heading to Stepanakert. Such threats contradict international civilian
aviation laws.
