BAKO SAHAKYAN ORDERED TO DEVELOP COMPLEX PROJECT ON WATER SUPPLY ISSUES

YEREVAN, JANUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. On 18 January President of Artsakh
Republic Bako Sahakyan held a working consultation dedicated to the
issues of water supply in the republic.
The Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh
Republic President informed "Armenpress" that President Bako Sahakyan
considered water supply, effective utilization of water resources
and their protection as strategic directions touching upon almost
all spheres of the state's life and among the key components of the
state security.
Turning to the activities to be carried out in this field the Head of
the State emphasized that it is necessary to implement such a complex
project, which would reflect the present situation in an objective
and proper manner, would reveal problems of water supply in all the
settlements of the republic and outline the ways of their solutions.
The President noted that at the basis of the solutions should be
sober logic and priorities, which would make possible to improve the
situation and create a firm basis for the socioeconomic development.
The Head of State gave concrete instructions to the heads of the
concerned structures for proper implementation of the planned
activities.
Prime-minister Ara Haroutunyan, National Assembly deputy speaker
Arthur Tovmasyan and other officials partook at the consultation.
