SERZH SARGSYAN: POVERTY STILL THE KEY PROBLEM OF ARMENIA

Poverty is still the key problem of Armenia, President of Armenia,
Candidate for president from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia,
Serzh Sargsyan, said during his presidential campaign in Agarak,
Syunik region.
The president told voters that the social benefits and charity are
unable to settle the given problem. "It is necessary to reveal and
eliminate the reasons leading to poverty. For that purpose, it is
necessary to teach a man to earn. Pensions and benefits must be
provided only to the people who are not able to work. All the others
must work," he said.
He promised that the pensions reforms, the country's transition to
the accumulative pensions system, will settle many problems.
As regards the presidential campaign, he said that many candidates
just flood people with promises. Serzh Sargsyan assured voters that
unlike other candidates he does not give unrealistic promises and is
always sincere to the people.
