YEREVAN. - An Armenian analyst disagrees with the view that the
Patriot missiles in Turkey pose a potential threat to Armenia.
"The Turkish Patriots pose no to real threat to Armenia," military
analyst Arkadi Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on
the statement that was made by Anatoly Kornukov, former Commander of
the Russian Air Force.
As per Kornukov, the aforesaid missiles, which Turkey has deployed
along its border with Syria, are primarily directed against Russia and
CIS countries-including Armenia. Also, the former Russian commander
had noted that this situation threatens the security of Armenia.
"We are close to the border. Azerbaijan is a supporter of Turkey.
Armenia is under a threat," Anatoly Kornukov had stated.
