NEXT DECADE FOR ARMENIAN ARMY IS TIME TO IMPLEMENT PLANS - DEFENSE MINISTER

YEREVAN.- Defense Ministry hosted on Friday a solemn event dedicated
to the Army Day celebrated on January 28 and the 21st anniversary of
the Armed Forces (photos).
In addition to representatives of the Defense Ministry, the meeting
was attended by Attorney General Aghvan Hovsepyan, Director of the
National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan, Police Chief Vladimir
Gasparyan, NKR Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan.
Addressing the audience, Seyran Ohanyan said that every birthday and
anniversary is an occasion to reconsider the past, assess achievements,
remember the friends who have passed away and outline the future
moves. The next decade for the Armenian army is a period to implement
plans and strengthen regional peace and security, he added.
"The future of our army depends on us, on good faith, timely solving
of problems, our ability to improve," Minister Ohanyan said.
He noted the Armenian army is faced with tough challenges, urging to
be on alert.
Aghvan Hovsepian Gorik Hakobyan, Vladimir Gasparyan also addressed
the participants. A group of soldiers was awarded.
