BREACHES REVEALED BY FINANCE MINISTRY AND CONTROL CHAMBER MATCH
Minister of finance David Sargsyan, dwelling on the revelations
by Control Chamber, said that he does not agree the state purchase
sector contains risky 700 billion AMD. He noted that first of all we
don't have purchases of 700 billion. According to the minister, annual
purchases by the state budget amount to 260 billion. Asked then why
Ishkhan Zakaryan, chairman of Control Chamber, is not held responsible
for slander, David Sargsyan said: "We are not working with the aim
to defame and accuse each other". He noted that it is not necessary
to generalize the issue of risks, but of course, there are some issues.
David Sargsyan said that Control Chamber carried out no checking in
the ministry.
Asked why the financial control inspection of the ministry didn't
reveal those misappropriations about which the CC chairman spoke,
the minister said that their checking results match those of Control
Chamber. He noted that their inspection revealed 7.2 billion AMD
should be restored to the budget in 2008 and last year - 2.2 billion.
So, according to him, the figures submitted by Control Chamber are
the same. The minister added that law enforcers received relevant
cases revealed by the ministry's inspection.
