PROSPECTS OF CONSTRUCTION OF IRAN-ARMENIA RAILWAY DISCUSSED IN TEHRAN

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Director General of "South Caucasus Railway"
CJSC Victor Rebets discussed the prospects of construction of South
Railway (Iran-Armenia) within his visit to Tehran.
Issues of forecasted freight flows and option of construction of a
logistics center based on Yeraskh station were discussed, the press
service of "South Caucasus Railway" CJSC reported.
Launch of "Southern Railway of Armenia" and "Southern Speed Road of
Armenia" projects assessed at USD3bln was announced in January 2013.
At that time, the trilateral memorandum among "South Caucasus Railway",
Ministry of Transport and Communication of Armenia and UAE-based
"Rasia" was signed.
