Member of Moldovan Constitutional Court apologizes for Ombudsman's remarks

Yesterday's statement of Moldovan Ombudsman in Armenian parliament
that Armenia is an `aggressor state' was a very unpleasant incident,
and put our country in an awkward situation, member of Moldova's
Constitutional Court Viktor Popan told reporters in Yerevan.
Viktor Popan, who is a former Member of Parliament of Moldova,
stressed that yesterday's statement is the personal opinion of the
Moldovan Ombudsman, and cannot be the opinion of Moldova's parliament
or any other body.
`Yesterday, I spoke to Moldova's parliamentary speaker, Marian Lupu,
and he greatly regrets about the incident, and I am authorized to
apologize for the incident, and I believe that it will become an
occasion to investigate and clear up the circumstances,' he said.
