What Female Employees Of Oligarchs' Restaurants Told Us

Today is Constitution Day in Armenia. In his congratulatory message
Serzh Sargsyan said that the main law in our country is called to
guarantee the rights and freedoms of our citizens. One of the main
rights of a person is the right to work, and one of the basic
conditions is the dignity of man. The constitution should ensure that
    people feel human.

But female employees of restaurants of Armenian oligarchs claim that
their constitutional rights are violated. They are not treated as
    humans at all.

`I have worked in a number of restaurants, Odjax, Parvana even in the
new one Paravon, and every day I returned home crying. Not only
because I couldn't resist how my feet hurt, but also because I felt
    like an animal.

In the room where we used to clean vegetables, herbs and fruits,
chairs were not allowed. They said those were the rules. We had to
work for 12 hours, and sometimes more, on foot. We had lunch time
which last 15-20 minutes. Is it not possible to bring a couple of
chairs, so that people can work seated? No, they want us to be worn
out to the last and that we stopped feeling like human.

During the work, we had to keep our mobile phones switched off, which
means complete isolation from the world. It was prohibited to talk to
each other. When we had a free minute, they sent us to do something
    else.

Sure, I know our working day should last 8 hours. But who asks us how
many hours we work? Who checks? We are paid very little, not more than
AMD 100 thousand, which is enough only for food. What about the rest?

Many of my friends said that it is better to go to the UAE. There at
least they pay more for the same inhuman work. But I don't want to
leave, I have children who study at school. I'm ready to do dirty
work, but I want to keep my dignity and receive money which will be
enough to live and be proud of living in my homeland.

We see the cars parked near restaurants, we see the clothes of the
clients, we see how much they spend on food, what luxurious weddings
they organize. Recently, there has been one with 800 guests. The owner
received thousands of dollars, while we are like slaves, we are not
even allowed to sit when we clean fruit and vegetables', our
    interlocutor says.

The restaurants of oligarchs have become the symbol of our times:
beyond their doors are the `elite', the heroes and the morals of our
times submerged in subconscious instincts, hence in their reality.

Today, Constitution Day will be celebrated in these restaurants in a big way.
