YEREVAN. - The number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon has reached 1
million, Lebanese minister said quoting the government data.
Speaking during the Saturday press conference in Yerevan, Minister
Vrezh Sapunjyan found it difficult to answer how many Armenians are
among the refugees. However, he assured that the Lebanese government
is trying to support the refugees on its own and with the help of
western states.
`We hope they will be able to return home,' Sapunjyan said. Some of
them may stay in Lebanon, some will choose going to Armenia or Syria.
Lebanon will welcome any decision, he resumed.
