MOST CORRUPT BODIES IN ARMENIA ARE STATE OFFICIALS, JUDICIAL AND HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS

Varuzhan Hoktanyan, introducing the Global Corruption Barometer 2013,
noted that the most corrupt bodies in Armenia are state officials,
the judicial and healthcare systems. Police are the fourth.
Only 37% of the population believes ordinary citizens may influence
on the fight against corruption, he said adding that this is the
104th rank in 107. Hoktanyan says only 43% of the population would
like to get engaged in corruption fight, which may stand for apathy
within the society or atmosphere of fear.
He noted that in the world political parties are believed the most
corrupt bodies, but in Armenia is different.
