YEREVAN, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Aras Publishing House
functioning in Turkey has released the book of Ara Akinyan "The Great
Patriarch". As reported by Armenpress, quoting the official website
of the Aras Publishing House, the book presents episodes from the
life of the Archbishop Maghakia Ormanyan (1841-1918). The book was
published in Armenian. It is the third novel of the writer Ara Akinyan.
Founded in Istanbul in 1993, the Aras Publishing House soon came to be
recognized as a "window into Armenian literature and culture". With
its Turkish and Armenian books, it has now established itself as one
of the few publishing houses producing works in two languages. Aras
publishes the translated books of the Armenian writers, as well as
the Turkish works of the modern Armenian writers.
