EU HAS NO INTENTION TO PUT PRESSURE ON ARMENIA - FRENCH ENVOY
July 12, 2013 - 16:56 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia-EU relations showed significant progress,
with the associated agreement to be signed to take them to a new level,
French ambassador Henri Reynaud said.
"Being closed geographically, it's natural for Armenia to want its
borders opened. So, understandably, this is the direction Yerevan
directs its diplomatic efforts in," the envoy told a July 12 news
conference.
"EU can't hamper Armenia's cooperation with other countries. EU has no
intention to put pressure on Armenia. As for progress in negotiations,
it will be achieved through a dialogue," the envoy said.
In conclusion, the ambassador hailed the current level of
Armenian-French relations.
